Summary: Mission of a nurse-technician is not only to be a passive observer in treatment and patient care. On the contrary, she plays an essential part and her supporting role in all kinds of health institutions is getting more evident. Nurses are essential team members, particularly in emergency medicine teams. By no means can this specific job be an individual one. Therefore, the nurse as a substantial element must take an active stand, execute specific tasks and promote the development of a team and team work. In treatment of patients suffering from acute myocardial infarction, intervention of an emergency team cannot be imagined without a skilful and well-educated nurse. Continual revision and advancement of knowledge and skills is the virtue and quality of a nurse and this is the course to be taken if nurse practice is to progress.
