RESULTS: Basic opinion proved our hypothesis that mothers from municipality Centre are more involved in knowledge of rickets , prophylaxis and treatment because they had the highest level of education. Average estimete3.62 is very satisfied for this ankets sample. DISCUSSION: It is need bigger effort in Bosnia and Herzegovina using in education of mothers and involving in problematic of health and care for children, that education process about rickets and its prophylaxis and treatment. CONCLUSION: Rickets can be prevented exposure to sunshine lights, ultraviolet lights or oral using of vitamin D. Daily doses for prophylaxis this vitamin D are 10µg or 400 IU.
