| Summary: INTRODUCTION: Primary retroperitoneal tumours are rare neoplasms, with an incidence of 0.1-3% of all tumours. Primary tumors of peritoneum grow slowly, without characteristic symptoms related to either localization or size. AIM: To present a case of an indistinct tumor in lesser pelvis, adequately diagnosed and successfully surgically treated. CASE REPORT: A 32-year-old patient with no subjective complaints was diagnosed with a tumour in lesser pelvis at a routine gynaecological examination in a primary Health Care Centre. Taking into account the localization of the palpable tumefaction, the patient was referred to the tertiary centre, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, the Clinical Centre of Vojvodina for further diagnostics and treatment. The diagnostic and therapeutic approach in cases of retroperitoneal tumour is presented, since the diagnosis is not always simple, and a successful operative treatment would include removing the entire tumour. CONCLUSION: We advocate the importance of a multidisciplinary approach in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of retroperitoneal tumour.
