Summary: Ectopic pregnancy (EP) is a diagnosis with a number of diagnostic mistakes. It is thanks to its diverse symptoms that it mimics various disorders and abnormalities. If only symptom analysis and direct physical examination are used, the correct diagnosis can be given with 50% of accuracy. Just as it appears that it is easy to make the diagnosis, the ectopic pregnancy can surprise even an experienced gynaecologist thanks to its diversity. The quality and promptness in diagnosing are provided by using the trans-vaginal ultrasound and coloured Doppler's ultrasound, while the biochemical markers enable us to treat the ectopic pregnancy not only surgically, but also expectative and no surgically.
Key words: ectopic pregnancy, diagnostic difficulty, conservative treatment, surgical treatment
