| Summary: What is
presented in this review article is CEAP classification,
ethiopathogenesis and risk factors of chronic venous insufficiency
and venous ulcers. Special emphasis is put on diagnosis and
differential diagnosis of „ulcus cruris“.Modern dermatologic aspects
of local treatment of patients suffering from venous ulcers are also
presented. Key words: HVI, CEAP, ulcus cruris venosum, ulcus dressing
