Summary: In the investigation of ischemic hearth disease, computed tomography is represented as an efficacious non-invasive technique, especially for coronary artery exploration. Thanks to a voluminous acquisition, computed tomography became a good technique for ambulatory patients, not only for the coronary artery, but even other heart structures. After four years and the period of technical development and clinical evaluation, computed tomography of the heart has become a routine method which is progressively finding its place in cardiological diagnostic algorithm. The last generation of fast and high-resolution devices have moved the limits of this diagnostic tool to a high-sensitive method complementary to coronoragraphy and have made new diagnostic imaging model in many other indications. In the article, our first experiences in a group of 70 patients are reported. Key words: 64 MD CT coronarography, coronary artery disease, diagnostic algorithm Napomena:
